During the XIXth century the tower and the nearby house saw a number of different owners until 1871, when the property was acquired by Giuseppe Durando, whose heirs it still belongs to.

In 1974 the tower's roof - by then unsafe - was demolished. So the tower gained back its original and more pleasant look, as you were able to enjoy in these pages.
