The terrace had a parapet walk for the guards patrolling: we can still see the holes in which the supporting beams were set. This kind of parapet walk is quite rare: other examples can be found in a few castles in Valle d'Aosta. Not much remains of the works made in this time: due to a restoration in XVIth century, the interior settings and the ceilings changed and the wall paintings were covered with plaster. |

Between 1420 and 1438 the more comfortable and modern "palazzo nuovo" (new palace) was built. Since then the tower was no longer permanently inhabited.
